Painted Statues: Lost Worlds of Colour

From the monumental Colossus of Rhodes to mini figurines of heroes, ancient statues have had a varied and surprisingly colourful history! In this workshop students discover how Greek statues were actually painted with bright colours, and explore Archaic to Classical statues. Participants apply their learning by painting their own god or goddess statue design.
