Discovering Daily Life in Ancient Greece
Students explore the social, political, cultural and economic features and activities of daily life in ancient Greece including: mythology and belief systems, the poleis, governance, civics, warfare, trade, intercultural encounters, sickness and death. Working in groups, students find evidence in museum collections to investigate these realities. The workshop will develop students’ abilities to identify the origin and content features of primary sources and describe perspectives and experiences of people from the past.
