Event Details
Join us in this hands-on holiday workshop as we discover herbal medicine and magic, used by the ancient Greeks to learn about diseases, ward off illness and keep their homes clean.
Together we will learn about history's earliest physicians (doctors) – such as Dioscorides, Galen and Hippocrates, who was considered the 'Father of Medicine' – and discover the medicinal plants they studied in their works.
Then, experiment by writing a magical 'incantation' to promote health (just as the ancient Greeks and Egyptians did), make your very own hand cream potion with herbs that were used in ancient times (like mint, lavender and juniper!) and craft a protective amulet.
This workshop is ideal for young explorers aged 7–13.
