OUR STORY
The Hellenic Museum is an art and history museum founded in 2007. We promote a passion for, and appreciation of the rich cultural traditions of ancient and contemporary Greece.
Occupying the landmark former Royal Mint building, the Hellenic Museum continues to be a prominent cultural destination in Melbourne. Hundreds of objects spanning over 8,000 years of Greek history are on display in the museum's galleries, in addition to numerous contemporary exhibitions.
By bringing together multiple artistic disciplines and perspectives, the Hellenic Museum aims to present a holistic experience of Greek culture and the contribution it has made, and continues to make, to contemporary society.
