From ancient plays at the Theatre of Dionysus to Hollywood classics at Cine Thisio, open air theatres are a long-standing and much loved Greek tradition. At our annual Summer Cinema, the Hellenic Museum brings a slice of this great pastime to Melbourne!

Join us over three Friday nights in February as the leafy Museum courtyard comes to life with family favourite films, classic movie snacks and delicious food. Doors open from 6.30PM for food and drinks, with screenings starting shortly after sundown – approx. 8.30PM.

We've partnered with some of Melbourne's favourite Mediterranean kitchens to make this year's Summer Cinema bigger and better than ever before! Join us at Session 1 & 2 (Friday 9 & 16 February) for gourmet eats by The Cypriot Kitchen and St Gerry's Loukoumades, and Session 3 (Friday 23 February) for a special The Hellenic House Project menu! Plus Melvourni coffee, classic movie snacks and drinks at every session.

Please note, as this event is catered and licensed, no outside food or beverage is permitted.
